Industrial Water Softener Salt

Commercial water softener salt is manufactured from rock salt. Seawater and other natural and artificial brines are used to produce commercial salt. Natural brines occur underground, in salt lakes or seawater. Artificial brine is obtained by mining rock salt with fresh water. It is also known as “controlled brine pumping.”

What is Water Softener Salt?

Water softener salt is used to soften hard water. Hard water contains a high mineral content, which negatively affects household appliances, plumbing fixtures, and pipes. To remove the high mineral content, water softener salt is used to stimulate an ion exchange in the water purifier. All the minerals in the water are exchanged with sodium ions from the salt during the ion exchange. The hard minerals are flushed out in this process, and the water becomes “soft.”

Commercial Uses of Water Softener Salt

Water Softeners are used in laundry facilities, condos, apartment complexes, hotels, office restaurants, buildings, and production facilities. The most commonly used water softener design is a fiberglass pressure vessel with a top-mounted valve.

Following are the top cities that have hard water in the US:

  • Indianapolis, IN
  • Las Vegas, NV
  • Minneapolis, MN
  • Phoenix, AZ
  • San Antonio, TX
  • Tampa, FL

You can have hard water in other parts of the country as well. We can test your water and provide a detailed report to avoid severe health problems. We will also offer solutions to treat the water, and you can choose which ones to go with. Hardwater has many side effects, so get your water tested by our team and take precautions beforehand.
