Quick professional and very competitive quote and recommendation based on water analysis. Installation was the exact agreed day, and installation tech was friendly, professional and efficient. Gladly recommend using them and would again without reservation! Price quoted was exact price charged.

I had your guy come out last week. I had four other companies out because I had rust and calcium build up and each one stated to replace and all prices around $3,000!

The Besco rep saw that our current equipment was in bypass mode! We had a new pump installed about a month ago and assume they put it in bypass mode! Your rep was the only one who caught it and I will make sure I purchase from you in the future as well as give your name to anyone needed filtration!!!! Huge Thanks!!!!

DI Tank Exchange Service

Clean, purified water is necessary for many businesses and industries – from factories and labs to hospitals and food companies. That’s where deionized (DI) water comes in. DI water has had all its minerals removed, making it extremely pure. Instead of dealing with complex water treatment systems yourself, you can use a DI tank exchange service that delivers fresh tanks and takes away used ones.

Besco Commercial Water Treatment has provided DI tank exchange services for over 60 years. We bring you new tanks of deionized water when you need them and handle all the maintenance work. Our team of experts will set up the right water system for your needs, whether you require ultra-pure water for sensitive equipment or standard deionized water for everyday use. This way, you get high-quality water without worrying about the technical details of water treatment.

What Are the Advantages of Using a DI Tank Exchange Service Over Traditional Systems?

Using a DI tank exchange service has many benefits compared to running your own water treatment system. You’ll save money since you don’t need to buy expensive equipment and won’t have to worry about maintenance or training staff to handle dangerous chemicals. These services also provide backup support if something goes wrong and help make sure your business follows environmental rules.

“At Besco Commercial, we make sure you get the most value from our DI tank exchange service,” says Ken Morgan, our General Manager who has worked here for over 30 years. “We deliver new tanks quickly when you need them, monitor your system automatically, and create a delivery schedule that works for you. Plus, if you ever have an emergency, we offer 24/7 emergency services. This means your facility will always have the clean water it needs.”

How Are DI Tanks Delivered and Installed?

Professional DI tank delivery and installation involves specialized handling equipment and trained technicians who ensure proper positioning and connection to existing water systems. The process includes pressure testing, leak checks, and flow rate verification to guarantee optimal performance. Technicians also verify proper drainage and ventilation during installation.

When Besco Commercial’s delivery team comes to your business, you’ll recognize them by their company trucks, which have special lifts to move heavy tanks safely. “Our trained technicians follow a detailed checklist when installing your system,” explains Brian Noble, our Commercial Operations Manager. “We ensure everything is connected correctly and show you how to use it. The whole process usually takes about two hours.”

What Sizes and Configurations of DI Tanks Do Commercial Water Treatment Companies Offer?

Water treatment companies offer different sizes of tanks, from small one-cubic-foot portable units to large 40-cubic-foot industrial tanks. Depending on your needs, you can get single tanks that work together or tanks with mixed materials inside. Special systems can be designed to handle high volumes for certain industries and commercial operations that need a lot of pure water.

Besco Commercial can set up anything from a single tank to complete systems that produce extremely pure water, built to match what your business needs.

  • Mixed-Bed Systems: These use two water treatment processes (cation and anion exchangers) working together. The strong version makes very pure water (0.2 megohms), that’s slightly basic (pH 8-9), while the gentle version makes water with a more neutral pH (6-7).
  • Two-Bed Systems: These combine both cleaning materials in one tank and make even purer water (5 megohms or higher) with a neutral pH.
  • Multiple-Tank Systems: For the highest standards, we can set up several tanks that work together to make extremely pure water (18 megohms) – the kind used in laboratories. We can add extra cleaning steps like water softening, filtering out particles, removing chemicals with carbon, killing germs with UV light, and super-fine filtering to meet your exact needs for ultra-pure water.

“Our engineering team specializes in creating custom manifold configurations that optimize flow rates and minimize downtime during exchanges,” states General Manager Ken Morgan.

What Levels of Water Purity Can Your DI Tanks Achieve?

Modern DI tank systems are high-purity water systems and can achieve extraordinarily high purity levels. They commonly reach resistivity values of 18.2 megohm-cm and reduce total dissolved solids (TDS) to less than 1 part per million. These systems effectively remove ions, particles, and dissolved minerals, making them suitable for laboratory, pharmaceutical, and high-tech manufacturing applications.

Besco Commercial’s DI tanks consistently deliver water quality that meets or exceeds industry standards, with our mixed-bed units regularly achieving 18.2 megohm-cm purity. “Our quality assurance program includes regular testing and certification of all tanks, with detailed reports provided to clients for compliance documentation,” says General Manager Ken Morgan.

What Maintenance Responsibilities Does the Service Cover?

DI tank exchange services typically handle all aspects of system maintenance, including resin replacement, tank sanitization, and performance testing. Providers manage regeneration off-site, conduct regular system inspections, and handle any necessary repairs or adjustments to ensure optimal performance.

Besco Commercial’s comprehensive maintenance program covers all aspects of tank care and system optimization. Our service includes quarterly system audits, preventive maintenance checks, and detailed performance reports. “We also provide complimentary water quality testing and consultation services to ensure your system continues meeting your specific needs,” says Commercial Operations Manager Brian Noble, who has been with the company for over 20 years.

How Often Will My DI Tanks Need to Be Exchanged?

Exchange frequency varies based on water usage, incoming water quality, and purity requirements but typically ranges from monthly to quarterly for most commercial applications. Usage monitoring and regular testing help determine optimal exchange schedules to prevent quality degradation while maximizing resin life.

Besco Commercial utilizes advanced monitoring systems to track your water usage and quality parameters, allowing us to optimize exchange schedules for your specific needs. “Our proactive approach ensures exchanges occur before quality degradation, with most clients operating on 4-8-week exchange cycles based on their unique requirements,” says General Manager Ken Morgan.

What Is the Cost of DI Tank Exchange Services?

DI tank exchange service costs are typically structured as monthly service fees based on tank size, exchange frequency, and water quality requirements. According to Peak Scientific, “There are a range of deionization systems available and depending on the specifications, the initial investment may stretch your budget.” This pricing model eliminates large capital expenditures and provides predictable operating costs. Volume discounts and long-term contract rates are often available for larger installations.

Besco Commercial offers transparent, all-inclusive pricing that covers delivery, installation, exchanges, maintenance, and emergency service. Our pricing structure rewards larger systems and longer contracts with reduced rates. “We provide detailed cost-benefit analyses to help clients optimize their service plans for maximum value,” says General Manager Ken Morgan.
