Besco Commercial Water Treatment was honored to support The Wall That Heals during its August 2026 visit to Battle Creek. From August 20 through 23, it was displayed at the Harper Creek High School soccer field complex in Battle Creek. The traveling exhibit includes a three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., along with a mobile Education Center.
The replica bears the names of the 58,281 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam. Its traveling format allows veterans, families and community members to experience the memorial closer to home. Visitors can find individual names, make name rubbings, and learn more about the people and history represented by the memorial.
Aside from an opportunity to remember loved ones and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice, The Wall That Heals also serves to give Vietnam veterans the recognition and welcome home that many did not receive decades ago.
Besco Commercial Water Treatment provided water for veterans, families, volunteers, and other members of the Battle Creek community attending the event. We are proud of the part we played in this experience.
A Community Comes Together to Remember
Veterans, military families, students, first responders, active-duty service members and visitors from throughout the region came together during the Battle Creek event. Some arrived to honor someone whose name appears on the wall, while others came to listen, learn and express their gratitude to those who served.
Local coverage from News Channel 3 captured veterans from different military branches and conflicts paying their respects. It also highlighted how meaningful it is for veterans to see todayâs communities learning about their experiences and recognizing their service.
Providing Water for Veterans, Families and Volunteers
As an event sponsor, Besco Commercial made an in-kind donation of water to help veterans, their families, and volunteers remain hydrated. With high heat and humidity during the event, access to water was especially important for those spending time at the memorial or helping make the experience possible.
We are grateful that something so closely connected to our everyday work could support the people participating in this meaningful occasion. Providing water was a practical contribution, but it also reflected the larger spirit of neighbors looking after one another.
Honored to Stand With Battle Creekâs Veterans
Besco Commercial Water Treatment is deeply grateful to everyone who brought The Wall That Heals to Battle Creek. We thank the organizers, volunteers, veterans, military families and community members who made the event a place of respect, education and healing.
As a company with longstanding roots in Battle Creek, we were proud to stand with our community and its veterans. We will always remember those who never came home and honor those who did. We remain grateful to everyone who has served our country.
