Water Filtration Systems
Hospitals use water filtration in kitchens, drinking-water stations, and ice machines to address taste, odor, and specific water-quality concerns. Appropriately selected filters can reduce chlorine taste and odor in water used for drinking, preparing food, and making beverages.

Water Softeners
Hardness minerals can contribute to scale in water-heating equipment, pipes, and commercial dishwashers. Reverse Osmosis Systems
Reverse osmosis reduces dissolved salts and other impurities by forcing water through a semipermeable membrane. Hospitals may use RO when an application requires water with lower dissolved-solids levels than the facility’s incoming supply can provide.
Besco designs commercial reverse osmosis systems around the facility’s feedwater quality, required flow, pressure, available space, and water-quality goals. RO can operate as a standalone treatment process or prepare water for additional purification stages.

Laboratory Water Purification Systems
Hospital laboratories may need purified water for glassware washing, reagent preparation, instrument feeds, and sensitive testing. These applications do not necessarily require the same water quality, so the system must be designed around the laboratory’s equipment and procedures.
Besco’s laboratory water purification systems can be configured to produce Type 1, Type 2, or Type 3 laboratory water. Depending on the required purity, the system may combine reverse osmosis, deionization, filtration, UV, and other treatment stages.

UV Water Treatment
UV disinfection uses ultraviolet light to inactivate microorganisms as water passes through a treatment chamber.
